And the winner by technical knockout is, Maaaaaaaannnyy ‘Pacman’ Pacquiaooo!!!”

Did you see that?”

Go Manny!”

Filipino Pride!!!”

Manny Pacquiao truly is amazing when it comes to boxing. He is the WBO Welterweight Champion and the first eight-division world champion.  And recently, this Filipino Icon has pursued his religion, . He even told ABS-CBN News that his fight on June 9 against Timothy Bradley Jr. at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas might be his last so that he may able to focus on his religious beliefs.

Manny Pacquiao is a firm believer of the teachings of the Roman Catholic. So firm, in fact, that when Obama declared that he supports gay-marriage, the People’s Champ adamantly disagreed and said in an interview with the National Conservative Examiner while training in Los Angeles, Calif.,” God’s words first.”

God’s words first.

I see. So Pacman, have you heard of God’s words saying that we are not allowed to have tattoos? No? Well it’s in Leviticus 19:28.

Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD.

Yes, I am also aware that Pacquiao had his tattoos before he got religious but he should also be aware that it is already the 21st Century and not the Bronze Age. We already posses a technology that allows us to remove existing tattoos. One method in removing tattoos is laser treatment. Basically, the laser causes the tattoo particles to break up into smaller pieces which are then removed by normal body processes. Of course, this neither a layman’s theory nor a scientific theory. One of the earliest articles describing successful laser treatment dates back to 1990 and was published by a group at Massachusetts General Hospital.

I’m sure it’s not the matter of money that doesn’t allow you to undergo the process. After all, you bought a 25M (Php)- Yacht as gift for your family after your fight with Marquez. Plus you earned a total of 25$ million last 2011 according to Forbes. Surely you can afford the cost. Are the possibilities of having side-effects scare you? Surely you won’t mind that for the sake of your faith.

Oh, and Pacquiao, have you heard of Human Rights? Specifically the one about Marriage and Family? It states:

“Men and women of full age, without any limitation due to race, nationality or religion, have the right to marry and to found a family. They are entitled to equal rights as to marriage, during marriage and at its dissolution.

Marriage shall be entered into only with the free and full consent of the intending spouses.

The family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by society and the State.”

You are obviously taking same-sex couples’s rights to marry and make a family. 40 years ago, people were against interracial mixing. 40 years from now, people might think of you as the greatest boxer. And the dumbest. And you can’t argue that a family consists of a male father and a female mother because according to dictionary.reference.com, a family is

“-basic social unit consisting of parents and their children, considered as a group, whether dwelling together or not: the traditional family.
-a social unit consisting of one or more adults together with the children they care for: a single-parent family.
-the children of one person or one couple collectively: We want a large family.”
See? “basic social unit consisting of parents and their children…”

Parents. dictionary.reference.com did not define the genders of the parents as long as they are parents. As long as they are taking proper care to their children and are loving them. Same sex couples are people too. They’re just like you, me, and everyone else. Human.

And of course, you can’t take away their rights. It’s also one of the Human Rights that no one can take our Human Rights. NO ONE can take our Human Rights.
